Technical Specialist Associate

The Technical Specialist Associate position supports research & development and customer focused activities focused in a fast paced and strategic market within the Engineering Adhesives business unit. This role provides support to the Vadnais Heights based Electronics team with some support of the broader teams located globally in both Europe and Asia. The specialist must be able to perform laboratory tasks and procedures with accuracy and promptness to meet customer demands. This function reports through the Electronics group based in Vadnais Heights, MN

Primary Responsibilities

• Preparing, applying and performing various tests to understand the performance of adhesive samples

• Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine the chemical and physical properties of materials to determine that formulations meet required targets

• Calibrating and maintaining test equipment to ensure it is in good working order

• Fulfilling responsibilities as required by the Quality System for the site/ laboratory/ business unit

• Fulfilling the responsibilities required to maintain a safe work environment when using individual and community workspaces

Minimum Requirements

• Combination of 2 years of college (15 quarter credits = 1 year) AND/OR years of Industrial Laboratory experience, the sum or which totals 2 years OR 2-year Vo-Tech certificate in Laboratory Technology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of adhesive lab testing procedures and equipment

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Aptitude with instrumentation and computers

• Able to work without continuous supervision

• Able to set priorities, even in difficult situations

• Flexibility to change priorities to meet an ever-changing market segment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $61,000 - $75,000.
