In this role you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Potential work experiences include:
- Programming Landscape: Assist in identifying analyzing and documenting program operational characteristics gaining valuable insights into coding and cybersecurity.
- End-to-End Application Lifecycle Experience: Observe key stages of application implementation — from requirements definition to design development testing and data migration — enriching your understanding of the full lifecycle.
- System Management: Contribute to essential activities such as system configurations and management tools including backup and recovery processes while enhancing your skills and supporting system integrity.
- Diverse Exposure: Engage in hands-on experiences with cloud platforms and foundational concepts in data science and AI ethics. Participate in the development and execution of test groups including automation and test cases and present your findings for a well-rounded internship experience.
- Currently pursuing a university degree with a strong academic track record.
- Strong interpersonal skills that support collaboration and relationship-building while effectively managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment.
- Initiative and passion for continuous learning actively seeking new knowledge and skill development while embracing a growth mindset and diverse perspectives.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and effective communication skills through active listening. Willingness to adapt and take ownership of tasks and challenges.
- Basic knowledge of AI concepts including ethics methodologies and foundational data science principles.
- Minimum Required Education: High school diploma and active enrollment in a higher education degree program in a relevant field.

- Required Work Location: These positions anticipated to start in 2026 will be based at the Baton Rouge Louisiana Client Innovation Center.
- Candidates must be local to their assigned Client Innovation Center location or willing to relocate prior to the start date at their own expense.
- On average employees are expected to work on-site at the local IBM office at least three days per week.
- While this role typically involves minimal business travel candidates should be willing to travel up to 100% if required depending on work assignments.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes including core principles of quality engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and introductory experience in software development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced technology-driven consulting environment.
