Technical Tax Desk - Contractor

We currently have a contract opportunity for a Tax Desk representative to answer tax questions and perform tax research for financial advisors. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides excellent customer service via the phone in a remote call center environment. • Provides remote tax counseling on several topics including retirement planning, education funding, benefit plans, and general tax planning. • Serves as a knowledge resource on tax planning, compliance, and administration topics, this may include conducting research. • Builds trusted relationships with clients by providing a quality experience, without engaging in product sales. • Ability to clearly explain and discuss 1099 forms and reporting cost basis. Skills personal tax technical tax 1040 cfp enrolled agent individual taxation Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred, but not required • 3 years of related financial planning experience preferred - training provided. • Ability to clearly articulate and discuss financial planning concepts. • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • CFP (Certified Financial Planner), EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA, (Certified Public Accountant) a plus. This role is remote, but candidates will have to go to the office for final interview. Position pays $35 per hour for all contractors, this rate is fixed and non-negotiable.
