Technical Writer, Artificial Intelligence

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 4 years of experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course material, or IT administration playbooks).
  
• Experience writing in HTML or Markdown.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience documenting, developing, or using Application programming interface (APIs) in REST, Python, or other languages.
• Experience reading, writing, and documenting source code written in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience writing and engineering prompts for large language models (LLMs)
• Experience working in Google Cloud Console and Google Cloud Command Line Interface (gcloud CLI).
• Experience with Vertex AI and AI Studio.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation and effectively communicate project updates, tests, and successes to stakeholders.
• Write developer-facing technical documentation for new features, how-to guides, release notes, and reference documents.
• Re-write and re-organize existing documentation to improve the customer experience.
• Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others on the team to match the Google style guidelines.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in AI and adapt content strategy accordingly.
