Telemundo Multimedia Journalist

Telemundo Austin has an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) for our Spanish language local newscast. Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as, enterprising story ideas and developing contacts. This position will be responsible for producing daily content on a variety of platforms including, internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television.

Required Skills:

• Sharp news judgment
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English

Required Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is required
• Must have experience with live shots
• Experience with Live-U is a plus
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
