Purpose Summary:
We are seeking experienced and detail-orientedTemporary Chefsto join our Fruit and Vegetable Cutting team on a flexible, as β needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cutting Fruits and Vegetables, a commitment to food safety and quality, and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in a detail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Prepare and present high-quality Fruits/Vegetables
β’ Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety standards
β’ Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, at all times
β’ Take regular inventory of Fruits/Vegetables ingredients and supplies; report shortages and assist with restocking
β’ Product shrink (left over) up to 25% for next day
β’ Produce fruit and vegetables products based on Daily Productions Report (DPR) β’ Packing ingredients into containers
β’ Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
β’ Complete Logbooks according to Standard Sanitation Operation Procedure (SSOP)
β’ Maintain store operating hours and follow assigned shift schedules reliably
β’ Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and professional demeanor
β’ Foster clear, respectful, and professional communication with co-workers, store personnel and management
β’ Uphold company standards for appearance (uniform/ID), conduct, and professionalism, at all times
β’ Requires travel up to 90% to various corporate locations
β’ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
β’ Strong knife skills and knowledge of fruit and vegetables cutting techniques
β’ Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment
β’ Food handlerβs/Servsafe Certification(required)
β’ Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Demands:
β’ Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances
β’ Tolerate working in cold temperatures in the prep room
β’ Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds at times
