Test Automation Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be part of the Test Automation & Tools Development team involved in the delivery of software solutions that facilitate automated testing of the latest automotive infotainment and connectivity technologies. You will develop automated test tools, libraries, and scripts; and maintain automated execution of test suites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Development in python of automated test scripts for power domain features for Ford's Fully Networked Vehicles
• Setup and maintenance of Jenkins jobs for automated script execution
• Assembly and maintenance of automated test nodes
• Daily triage of nightly tests
• Interfacing with the developers of the power domain features for testing of PR builds and debugging of issues with those builds

QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum requirements we seek:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ year experience in test automation and tools development
• 2+ year experience in Python development and object-oriented design
• Experience in maintaining automated execution of large number of tests and triaging test results

• Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and adept at detecting and diagnosing software defects
