Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provides technical testing leadership to the organization, serving as an informal leader for process improvement efforts. Researches and recommends opportunities for implementing advanced testing techniques, metric tracking and automation improvements. Acts as a subject matter expert with testing methodologies. Develops, defines, and implements test standards and guidelines. Develops, maintains and executes manual and automated test cases for feature testing, performance, security, and regression. Recommends and implements opportunities for productivity and process improvements. Effectively scopes and plans testing efforts. Effectively balances work on multiple projects, ensuring testing activities complete on time. Stays current on new tools and technologies, continuously looking for opportunities to improve. Mentors less experienced testers in specific business knowledge areas and/or testing techniques. Performs application and system testing functions including test data creation, functional, regression, and complete workflow testing. Develops and maintains test cases, test procedures/scripts, and/or test data for all testing functions. Completes analysis against requirements and technical specifications to build appropriate test plans and data. Analyzes, reviews, and interprets business requirements and system documentation to ensure quality test case coverage, with minimal risk. Maintain subject matter expertise of customer processes and how they are supported by system. Documents and works to resolve all testing problems, raising risks or issues to the project team and leadership as they occur. Effectively interprets, analyzes, and communicates test results to business, engineering, development, and management. Develops, maintains, and executes manual test cases and automation scripts for feature, functional, performance, security, and regression testing. Understands and works effectively in fast paced Agile methodologies such as eSDLC. Active participation in all SCRUM ceremonies. Understand and performs Defect management with the agile team. Maintains test artifacts using Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Agile Manager. Defines and generates Test Data Inputs and Test Data Management for all phases of the project. Reviews the Test Cases QA team members and provide appropriate comments. Requirements: Master's* degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Two (2) years related experience as a Software Engineer - Test Lead, Senior Engineer - Testing, QA Engineer or related IT occupation. Experience is required and must include the following: Performing and managing testing efforts in different AGILE frameworks such as SCRUM (BDD, ATDD), SAFE Agile and well versed in usage of testing techniques for System, Functional, Regression, Integration, End to End, Performance, Downstream and UAT Testing for every release; Managing, designing, developing, and handling Test Engineering for manual and automation scripting and test data management for different applications such as Web/Windows and Mobile applications (iOS and Android), SOAP and REST API web services, Mainframe, SharePoint, Document Image Capturing Technologies such as Kofax /KTA, FileNet and Alfresco, Claims processing and IVR applications according to the defined process of test strategy/plan in all phases of system test life cycle; and Writing test cases in GHERKIN and automating scripts using WATIR with RUBY in Cucumber tool and UFT, Data Base Testing using SQL and WCAG Accessibility testing along with Analytics. *The employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and 5 years' of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and 2 years' experience. *100% work from home permitted due to the pandemic. Employee's primary residence must be in the metro area of office HQ.
