This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
- Manage a QA team and partners to deliver our global testing strategy
- Oversee multiple projects in various stages of the development cycle
- Innovate technology and process improvements into the product SDLC to improve quality, speed, reliability, and predictability
- Lead, recruit, coach, and manage a team towards individual and team excellence
- Influence cross-functional teams on end to end strategy, test execution, and reporting
- Accountable for the quality of all deliverables, workflows, and relationships for the test team
- Partner and provide high-value quality-related services to production leadership
- Forecast and manage the product's test schedules, needs, dependencies, and resources
- Develop and manage the master test plan for the product
- Drive quality projects with regional teams, partners, stakeholders, and QA teams
- Set and drive annual and continuous improvement goals for the team
- Contribute to long term QA vision creation and drive communication outward with stakeholders
- Facilitate resolution of project impacting issues that require intervention
- Champion and influence software development best practices and the customer experience
- Present formal business reviews regularly
- Experience leading test teams: 5+ years
- Personnel Management experience: 3+ years
- Experience with gray/black box test methods
- Experience with game engines, content and asset editors, and shared technologies
- Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships and developing insource and outsource solutions
- Game development experience while in a QA leadership role
- White box testing experience
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Level or equivalent
- Coding knowledge: XML/HTML, JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++/C#, or SQL
- Certification in any of the following: PMP, Scrum Master, ISTQB-ATM
- Passion for Blizzard's line of products and services

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $77,760.00 - $143,920.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
