WE ARE HIRING FOR 2ND SHIFT 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM . Below you will find the information on what we are looking for in our Machine Operators.
Experience:
• 8-10 Years in Manufacturing Environment (Prefer Plastics)
• 3-5 Years Experience in Process and Engineering Management a plus
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manufacturing Coordination of New Products Through First Article Process
• Provide direction for "design for manufacturing" from sales concept drawing to production tool design that support Nelipak's Thermoforming Quality Standards.
• Primary Manufacturing representative relating to new products from initial quoting process through the first article Process as related to manufacturing processes
• Coordinate all Manufacturing responsibilities of new products through first article customer submission and approval and first three production runs.
• Establish manufacturing procedures and documentation for machine set-up and run parameters by Performance Qualification:
• Verify the repeatability and reproducibility of the equipment, tooling and process parameters by operating the system at the set points established in the operation qualification for three separate runs and confirms that all critical quality attributes for the product are met.
• Test the performance of equipment, tooling and process parameters by operating the system at the minimum and maximum allowable settings for the process established in the operation qualification and confirm that all critical quality attributes for the product are met.
• Create Process Control Forms according to Performance Qualification include such specifications and measurements as film, mold, and die operating temperatures and operating ranges for vacuum, pressure, and machine timing.
• Assist Quality by establishing manufacturability for acceptable quality levels.
• Operation Qualification of Manufacturing Equipment and Methods:
• Test manufacturing equipment operating parameters and challenge systems to assure that the machine will perform appropriately for its intended purpose.
• Verify that controls and monitoring manufacturing equipment function together and perform as specified by the manufacturer/installer.
• Verify that manufacturing equipment functions appropriately during and after utility failures and that those settings, counts, etc. are retained or an appropriate procedure exists to handle such failures.
• Establish operating windows and process parameter limits by challenge testing settings and evaluating the effect on critical quality attributes.
• Data Analysis and Process Improvement:
• Proactively preview all Manufacturing Orders and coordinate:
• Assessment of tooling condition and any outstanding Tooling Work Orders
• Verify that current Process Control Forms and Performance Qualification specifications are included in the Manufacturing Folder.
• Create Process Control Forms with Performance Qualification specifications for existing products as required including such measurements as film, mold, and die operating temperatures and operating ranges for vacuum, pressure, and machine timing.
• Review daily Set-Up Reports, Production Analysis Reports, In-Process QC Check Lists, and Material Efficiency Reports and provide recommendations to Production Manager.
• Be an active participant in the Kaizen team meetings and assist in Process Improvement action programs.
• Management Systems and Process Control:
• Assist all departments developing effective operating procedures that yield process improvement.
• Effect factory wide productivity, quality, and safety improvements by such practices as 5S Systems and Visual Factory Management.
• Assist in implementation and management of ISO 13485 Quality System as it pertains to Manufacturing Operations.
Be Safe and sufficient. Support running machinery with all materials required and the accurate documentation, labeling, and palletizing of finished product. General
Qualifications
• Mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in machining and plastics injection molding
• Ability to operate forklifts
• Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, and precision measuring instruments
• Basic math skills and materials handling experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
