Tig Welder Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety standards, with the ability to work on various projects involving metal fabrication. As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while adhering to industry codes and standards. Duties • Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. • Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Operate additional equipment such as press brake machines and cranes as needed. • Conduct pipe threading and soldering tasks when required. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations. Qualifications • Proven experience in TIG welding; certification is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with welding codes and standards relevant to the industry. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. • Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations. • Experience with pipe threading, soldering, stick welding, and machining is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
