Job Summary:To ensure the safe and efficient running of the injection molding machines, to the required quality and safety standards. Troubleshooting issues, improving product quality, increasing reliability, and reducing equipment downtimes. Responsible for mold changes, preventative maintenance on molds; small tooling repairs. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity on a daily basis.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance on Injection Molds.
• Perform repairs on injection molds.
• Store and maintain validated components.
• Inspecting machinery for defects.
• Recalibrating machines
• Follows all procedures, training, and blueprints.
• Troubleshooting to improve and develop repeatable molding processes.
• Analyzing and correcting mold malfunctions
• Disassembling mold tooling for leaning and repairs.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for working to reduce molding scrap, tool changeover time, other molding related scrap.
• Develop and maintain a troubleshooting library to include all documentation for existing and/ or new equipment.
• Work with Engineering and Maintenance on continuous improvements of new and existing processes.
• Perform periodic inspections of all Injection Mold presses and processes as necessary.
• Responsible for designated molding press TPM and other activities related to molding and auxiliary equipment.
• Responsible for proper rigging/ lifting, flipping, and placing on flatbed of molds to be sent out.
• Organize and oversee component usage and inventory. Notify management when inventory is low.
• Responsible for small touch-ups on molding press robots as needed only.
• Operate a crane or forklift to move and shift molds around the facility and plastic injection presses as needed.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
• Must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Must be Forklift certified.
• Must have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Hydraulic, electrical, & mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills are preferred.
Job Qualifications:
• AAS degree or related job experience, in a technical discipline; mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Possible overtime
• Must be able to work 12 hours, rotating days, and/ or night shifts. Prompt and regular attendance.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Strong multi-tasking skills. Completes several concurrent tasks in an efficient and accurate manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines and equipment. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 40 lbs, lift, stand and carry consistently, have proper hearing, vision and speech capabilities. Will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, or shields). Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, scrawling, use of hands to inspect parts, tools, controls; etc. reach with hands and arms.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
