OSG is currently hiring for Traffic Flagger positions at the Port of Seattle!
Oatridge Security Group is looking for aTraffic Flagger - Security Officerto join its rapidly growing team. TheTraffic Flagger - Security Officeris primarily responsible for safely directing vehicle traffic around the cruise ship terminal at Pier 91 Port of Seattle. Additionally, the officer may be conducting patrols and static security at various locations, and may be required to safely operate a vehicle, stand or walk for long periods of time, and work outside in the elements. TheTraffic Flagger - Security Officermay be required to challenge individuals to prevent unauthorized access and verbally trespass any violators. This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, de-escalation skills, a good work ethic, and punctuality.
Unarmed Security Officers must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Candidates should have a clean driving record, be well groomed, articulate, dependable, and a team player. The Unarmed Security Officer does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience preferred but not required.
Required Skills, Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
• Active TWIC card strongly preferred.
• Flagger Certification strongly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material.
• Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty up to the standards of OSG.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
• Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
• Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform with any necessary equipment.
• Will carry out general and special orders for assigned post.
• Will communicate via radio, telephone and in-person, according to orders.
• Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and assigned equipment.
• Meet, greet, and interact professionally with clients and the general public.
• Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
• Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
• Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English.
• Must be comfortable turning away trespassers, loiterers, and transients (who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol) on the client's property from a safe distance away.
