Trainee FinOps and Cloud Transformation Consultant - IBM France M/F

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a FinOps consultant trainee, you will be part of a team specialising in Hybrid Cloud Services and will have the opportunity to work directly with our IBM Apptio tools. You will help our customers to manage their cloud resources by improving transparency, control and optimisation of their costs within a framework of digital transformation.

Main tasks:

• Supporting FinOps consulting engagements: analysing clients' Cloud costs, implementing best practices to optimise Cloud spend using IBM Apptio solutions.
• Designing deliverables: producing financial reports, cost analyses and presentations for senior management on managing and optimising Cloud resources.
• Contributing to Cloud transformation projects: supporting customers in implementing Cloud cost optimisation solutions, integrating FinOps approaches into digital transformation strategies.
• Technology watch and innovation monitoring: keeping up to date with Cloud tools and technologies as well as FinOps best practices, in particular with IBM Apptio.
• Collaboration with global experts: working as part of a team with specialist consultants on international Cloud management and transformation projects, and participating in the creation of commercial proposals for FinOps services.
• Ongoing training: developing your expertise in Cloud financial management through certifications on technologies such as IBM Apptio, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
End-of-studies internship with internship agreement
Duration: 6 months
Location: Paris, with the possibility of travel in France and Europe.
Start date: throughout 2025.

• Master 2 student (CTI-accredited engineering or business school / Master's degree) with a specialisation in digital transformation, management, finance or supply chain - A dual business/technical background will be valued.
• Bilingual French/English (written and spoken), (minimum level C1)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and good writing skills
• Curious, proactive and collaborative, ready to take on complex challenges and work as part of a team in an international and often multicultural environment .
• Technical skills: good knowledge of Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Red Hat) and cost optimisation tools such as IBM Apptio.
• Consulting skills: ability to formalise solutions, prepare sales materials and communicate effectively with customers.
• Functional skills: interest in FinOps and cost management in the cloud.
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team spirit in an international context (delivery centres in France, Europe or India).
