Job Description
Duties:
- Staff and Stakeholder Training
- Support Talent Management leadership in the coordination and execution of staff and stakeholder training (Lead Like Jesus, Biblical DISC, staff workshops, etc.)
- Assist Talent Management leadership in in the development, coordination, administration, and implementation of training and related materials for staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders
- Assist in the identification of appropriate training materials and resources for staff and stakeholders through platforms used by the ministry
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Work in collaboration with the Manager, Talent Acquisition to schedule and conduct initial screening interviews upon the request of the hiring manager
- Schedule follow up interviews for hiring managers and the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Sr. Director, Talent Management
- Help train hiring managers on how to effectively utilize the Applicant Tracking System
- Partner with Joni and Friends Global Missions & Internships, Area Ministry Offices, and Volunteer Engagement to identify and develop a pipeline of potential candidates for openings within the organization
- Coordinate Onboarding Mentorship program
- Support Manager, Talent Acquisition with projects related to recruiting and onboarding
- Leadership Development Strategy
- Understand and champion the concept of the Christian Disability Ministry Leader (CDML) throughout the organization and to external stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Talent Management Leadership in the design and implementation of the organizational approach to leadership development and career pathing across the organization
- Assist in the scheduling and organization of coaching sessions for emerging leaders
- Staff Events
- Plan, schedule, oversee, and execute regular staff events i.e. monthly fellowship events, Christmas Party, All-Staff Conference (in coordination with Special Events)
- Communicate with vendors on specifications of orders, contracts and event details
- Purchase all items necessary for events including gifts/prizes, décor, supplies, food, and drinks
- Coordinate set-up and tear-down of events
- Administrative Duties
- Generate reports from various systems used by Talent Management team
- Create presentations, documents, or communications based on guidance from Talent Management Leadership
- Support general department scheduling and communication needs
- Update and maintain the Leadership Development Office, Human Resources, and The Center SharePoint sites
- Provide back-up for Receptionist, filling in for lunch hour and break relief
- Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
Qualifications:
- Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
- Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
- Experience within the field of leadership development, talent management, or a related area
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Psychology or related field required
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various levels of the organization
- Comfortable with public speaking and making presentations to all levels of the organization
- Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, a team player and self-starter who is flexible and able to work independently
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support the implementation of evolving leadership development initiatives
- Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
- Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams presentation
- Knowledge and experience with Canvas or other Learning Management System helpful
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation for this position, located at our Agoura Hills office, is $28.50 - $31.00 per hour. It is a hybrid position working Mon/Tue/Thu in the office and Wed/Fri remote.
