Qualifications

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY, ALL APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 (ZA-II at NIST) level. Specialized experience is defined as experience assisting in the development and implementation of a nuclear training program in accordance with ANSI/ANs 15.4 guidelines and reactor theory principles or equivalent. Experience with nuclear reactor operations to apply specific operating and maintenance procedures, interpreting and applying guidelines and requirements of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to obtain the license that the operators must be to operate the reactor for reactor operator licensing and maintain compliance.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Moderate lifting, 15-44 pounds, Moderate carrying, 15-44 pounds, Reaching above shoulder, Use of fingers, Both hands required, Operation of crane, truck, tractor, or motor vehicle, Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously, Specific visual requirement (Correctable to 20/40), Depth perception, Ability to distinguish basic colors, Hearing (aid may be permitted), Depth perception to minimum of 50 sect of arc, Field of vision > or 7= 70 dec in horizon, Meridian both eyes, Color vision for red/green/orange/yellow, Hearing Avg > 30 dB or 500, 1000, 2000 and 3000 HZ.

This position requires the passing of a drug test
