Description:

The Transformation agenda is a key driver of future value in our organization. The Transformation Product Owner will drive a portfolio of value in the range of millions of annual delivered values by enabling higher efficiency in our operations, reducing costs, and creating new opportunities to generate value from enhanced data practices, better client transparency and responsiveness, and faster, better business decisions in critical areas.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead digital and business transformation projects in an agile way in collaboration with resourcing from internal global support teams and external consulting
  • Digitization requires significant change management effort to enable value creation – the Transformation Product Manager will help drive individual product solutions with key support from an embedded change management support team owned by the Digital Portfolio Manager. The combination of these efforts is expected to yield sustained business results that will serve as the basis for continued enhancement over time
  • Manage the delivery of digital solutions, motivate and encourage the adoption of these new approaches and kick-off a cycle of ideation, solution delivery, and change management. These are ambassadors of a new approach to our core business as well as drivers of change that will enable our fast-evolving business scenarios in areas such as sustainability
  • Learn and practice new ways of working utilizing an agile methodology to focus product development on minimum viable products (MVPs) to quickly test, progress/kill, and scale new solutions
  • While this role will not have direct team member leadership responsibility, the Transformation Product Manager will be expected to execute and deliver projects with resourcing from a variety of support teams within and outside Braskem. Skills in negotiating this complex resourcing environment will be critical to delivering with speed
  • Transformation Product Manager is also expected to be a key sources of idea generation for future product development, adding ideas to our product backlog along the way
  • Transformation Product Manager should have a strategic mindset and are expected to develop a strong vision for product delivery in particular operational areas of focus, working closely with operational teams to also understand a practical path for adoption and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree w/ advanced degrees (MS, MBA) a strong plus.
  • Certificates or work experience in the areas including digital transformation, agile ways of working, or other relevant areas are preferred, but not required
  • Depth of business experience in industrial commodity (or similar) operations (supply chain, logistics, commercial, etc.) with 10+ years of overall relevant work experience
  • Possess and practice key skills including:
    • Experience working in an industrial business is preferred, but business experience in business operations areas is more important
    • Good interpersonal relationship to work with internal and external interfaces
    • Ability to influence people (leaders, peers and colleagues) in strategic decisions
    • Adaptability in different situations, cultures, and business scenarios
    • Comfort with developing a strategy from ground up
    • Excellent communicator with for senior executives, in particular
  • Previous experience in a financial or business analysis role

Preferred:

  • Experience at a top-tier consulting firm is a strong plus as is any consulting experience focused on digital business transformation and/or agile product delivery
  • Prior experience in the polymer industry or plastics recycling industry
  • Expertise in polymer technology, recycling and/or conversion processes
