    Job Details
  • Job Summary: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) position in the OR department specializing in Ortho/Neuro cases.
  • Average # of cases per day: 25-30 cases
  • Common Cases: ortho neuro total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, micro discs, cranis.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have 1 year of Ortho/Neuro OR experience.
  • Certifications Required: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP.
    Schedule Information
  • Rotating 8hr shifts: 0645-1515; 0900-1730; 1500-2330; 0700-1930 (weekend only)
  • Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1-2 times per week, 1515-0645
  • Weekend/Call Requirements: based on staffing Fri 1515-Mon 0645 every 3-4 weekend
  • Holiday/Call Requirements: must be willing to work holidays - rotate with perm staff
  • Call response time: 15 minutes, 8 hour reprieve shifts for post call.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Department: OR (Tech)
  • Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a-11p M-F, weekends 7a-7p
  • Scrub Color: provided
  • Floating Requirements: MUST be willing to float to cross train to other specialty cases if needed.
    Additional Details
  • This department has a family atmosphere.
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved.
