Job Summary- The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing Transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms and, under the direction of a trained echocardiographer, setting up and performing exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography . This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. -Other duties as assigned. Required Certifications & Licensure: - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. -American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). OR -Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification in cardiac ultrasound. AND -Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from CCI within 12 months of start. OR -Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI within 12 months of start. Preferred
