    Job Details
  • A clinically competent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct patient care to both acutely and chronically ill patients through the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • LPNs are expected to maintain proficiency in the care of all clinical patients, as directed by the Medical Director; to including triage, patient encounters, and regulatory oversight.
  • LPNs are expected to practice nursing in accordance to their level of training and within the scope of practice determined by the license.
  • LPNs must function collaboratively with patients, families, Physicians, MAs, and supporting office staff.
  • Nurses consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in planning and delivering nursing care at Gunnison Valley Hospital.
    Job Requirements
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited college or be a graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
  • Current license in the state of Colorado required.
  • Current CPR certification.
    Additional Details
  • Colorado adult protective services (CAPS) check required.
  • Please note rural Gunnison does not have public transportation which will require the traveler to have access to a reliable source of transportation.
