- General Information: Beds: 36
- Minimum years of experience: 1 year
- Will accept a first-time traveler: Yes
- Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff
- Patient Types: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry; General surgery: Sepsis, DM, CHF, COPD, PNA, Cardiac dysrhythmias, ETOH/CIWA, IVDA, DVT/PE, etc
- No hearts, brains, or transplants
- Patient Ratios: RN: Days - 1:5 with tech; 1:4 without tech; Nights – 1:6 with tech; 1:5 without tech; CNA: Days – 1:16; Nights – 1:23
- Job Requirements
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS are required
- NIHSS (preferred)
- Skills required: Traveler will be required to PASS an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival (includes MedSurg RN)
- Medication administration, Telemetry experience, Wound care, Continuous bladder irrigation, IV insertion skills, Cardiac drips (non-titrating), Oxygen administration, Central line management/care, Pre & Post op care, NG tube placement and care, management of G-tubes
- Schedule Information
- Weekend rotation: Every other
- Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week – this is mandatory
- Can we approve time off? Yes, up to 7 days; must extend to accommodate a 13-week contract
- May only request (1) weekend off per 13-week contract
- Call required: None
- Holiday Expectations: Must work 2/3 major holidays
- Black out dates: Halloween 2024; Black Friday 2024
- Unit Specific Information
- Floating: Units: 2 West and 3 West
- Orientation: 3 days hospital orientation; 2 shifts orienting to unit
- Additional Details

- Parking: Free in designated areas
- Culture on the unit: Traveler friendly
- Professionalism is a mandatory requirement – no cell phone usage in patient care areas, earbuds cannot be worn, no eating at desk
