    Job Details
  • This position performs a variety of technical procedures that requires the use of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist should have knowledge about Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation which includes the use of gamma cameras (both planar and SPECT), PET, Radiation detectors/counters, dose calibrators, and the Quality Control of all equipment.
  • The technologist should have knowledge about Radiation Safety Practices/Handling, patient and occupational exposures, dosimetry, as low as (is) reasonably achievable (ALARA) techniques that include time, distance, shielding.
  • Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines pertaining to handling, administering, and transportation of radioactive materials.
  • The technologist should have knowledge about Radiopharmacy which includes safe administration, preparation, measurement, and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals for Diagnostic and/or Therapeutic purposes.

  • 1+ years of experience - Required
  • Work History
  • Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
  • 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
  • Licensure & Certifications (CNMT & BLS - AHA)
  • Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)
