    Job Details
  • The Registered Nurse (RN) monitors, assesses, and evaluates patient conditions, providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
  • Key responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal health, assisting with labor management, offering patient education, supporting the delivery process, and providing postpartum care.
  • The RN works closely with the healthcare team, including OB residents and attendings to ensure patient safety, documents care accurately, and responds to emergencies as needed.
  • L&D RNs must be adaptable to different facility settings, policies, and shifts while maintaining high clinical standards.
    Job Requirements
  • At least two years of experience of high risk Labor and Delivery nursing
  • RN licensure for the State of Georgia or multi-state compact license
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hour shifts, 0700-1930 and 1900-0730
  • No call required
  • Weekends are required
    Unit Specific Information
  • Completion of a three day preceptor based Labor and Delivery specific orientation.
  • L&D specific computer modules as well as Accucheck competency.
  • Orientation competency checklist will be completed.
