    Job Details
  • General job duties include procedures related to Women's Health Birthing Center.
  • Types and ages of patients include labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery/newborn care.
  • Unit consists of 1 triage room, 3 LDRP rooms, and 2 flex rooms.
  • Utilizes EPIC for computerized documentation and OBIX for archiving EFM strips.
    Job Requirements
  • Prior experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery/newborn care required.
  • Prior experience with basic medical/surgical patients required.
  • Must be NRP and BLS certified.
  • STABLE and ALSO certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Proof of Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring course completion required.
    Schedule Information
  • Required to work every 3rd weekend and every other holiday during assignment.
  • Schedule will be rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts, primarily evenings and nights with the possibility of an occasional day.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Nurse to patient ratio is one-on-one with a labor patient during active labor, oxytocin infusion, and epidural infusion, initiation of magnesium infusion.
  • Each shift is scheduled with 2 RN’s or 2 RN’s and 1 CNA.
  • 1 week of orientation to the organization and department provided.
