    Job Details
  • Med/Tele/PCU RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center
  • Must have PCU experience and be able to read strips
  • Common diagnoses include adults and geriatrics, cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid Bipap, pneumonia, sepsis
  • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3
  • Experience with titrating drips required
  • Charge nurse on each shift, occasionally takes a light load of 2-3 patients
  • Weekend and holiday requirements: every other
  • Floating requirements: all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, some ER holds/boarding
    Job Requirements
  • Must have PCU experience
  • Ability to read strips
  • Experience with tele/cardiac nursing
  • Epic preferred
  • RN's required to titrate drips
  • RN's required to read and interpret their own strips
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
  • Rotating shift will not occur more than weekly
  • Manager to make schedule, will consider blocked schedule based on unit needs
  • 2-12 hour shifts for unit/department specific orientation
    Unit Specific Information
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix
  • RT Equipment includes Bipap, trachs, airvo
  • Tele portable monitors and monitors in the rooms available
    Additional Details
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles
  • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
  • Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions
