  • Job Description: L&D nursing position at Coulee Medical Center in Grand Coulee, Washington.
  • Department: OB | RN
  • # of L&D Beds: 2 rooms
  • # of OR Suites for C-Sections: C-Sections are done in OR, PACU will recover.
  • # of Postpartum beds: Acute care beds are used for Post Partum beds.
  • # of Births per year: 50-60
  • Common diagnoses: Diabetes, GDM, AMA, no prenatal care.
    Job Requirements
  • Experience: Must be able to work on Acute MedSurg Floor.
  • Must be experienced with neonatal antepartum, L&D, Post partum.
  • Ok with 1 year experience.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 12 hour shifts, 6a-6:30p, 6p-6:30a.
  • Set schedules typically with shifts blocked together.
  • Scheduler will complete schedule 4 weeks at a time.
  • Weekend Requirements: Typically every other.
  • Holiday Requirements: Will fill in if there is a need.
  • Floating Requirements: Will work Acute MedSurg if no OB patients.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Department specific orientation: 1 day on the unit.
    Additional Details
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, EFM must have at least intermediate, prefer advanced.
  • Charge nurse for whole hospital.
  • All OBs are Family Practice OBs and are in the clinic during the day.
