BMC Medical Surgical/Telemetry 4th Floor – This unit is located at Bellevue Medical Center (16 mins away from Nebraska Medical Center’s main campus).
This unit is a 36 bed medical surgical/telemetry unit.
The unit has a focus on the care of the medical surgical/telemetry population with an emphasis on the orthopedic patient population.
Additional surgical specialties include: surgical oncology, general surgery, GYN surgery, and OMFS.
The unit does accommodate telemetry monitoring.
Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).
Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN
2 years of prior Telemetry experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
Drips are required on all floors
First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
EPIC charting experience required
Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus)
100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY.

2 years of prior Telemetry experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
BLS required
ACLS preferred
NIH Stroke Certification required as applicable per Unit Description.
EPIC charting experience required
Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.
Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift).
