  • Labor and Delivery nursing position at Onvida Health Yuma Medical Center

  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Average 9 births per day, 250 a month, 3000 per year
  • Unit has 9 L&D beds and 2 OR suites for C-sections
  • Common diagnoses include high blood pressure and patients with no prenatal care
    Job Requirements
  • Active Arizona or Compact nursing license required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Must be able to perform vaginal exams and assist in C-sections
  • Experience with newborn transitions and postpartum hemorrhage control preferred
  • Must be able to titrate drips for Magnesium, Pitocin, insulin, and blood
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM/AM
  • Weekend requirements: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
  • Holiday requirements: Typically 2/3 holidays, includes eve/day of
  • On-call availability is encouraged but not mandatory
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit has OB Techs and Charge Nurse on each shift
  • Tele/Monitor Techs are available on the adult side of the hospital
  • EFM System: CPN centricity
  • One NEO, one clinical ed/EPIC, one day floor orientation
    Additional Details
  • Must match the next available start date for submission
  • All time off must be 5 days or less and included in submission
  • Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level
  • Certifications must be accurate and up to date
