Required Certifications: BLS, PALS

Years of Experience: 2+; Med Surg, postpartum, pediatrics in that order. Due to our low birthrate we must accept medical surgical patients on the floor. I need a nurse that has recent experience in those areas.

Float Requirements: to other Med Surg units Number of Beds: 14

Patient Ratios: 1/5-6

Equipment:

• EHR: Med Host; Centricity Perinatal

• Supervisor: Laura Richesin

• Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: geriatric, peds, adult, post partum

Hiring Profile:

Must Have Skills/Experience: IV placement; NG tube placement; fundal checks;

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Med Surg

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Bowel obstruction; hip fracture; Cholelithiasis; Appendicitis; Post Partum care

Personality Fit: Team Player

Required Education: BLS; PALS; NRP appreciated; ACLS
