Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool night shift position requiring both MO (or compact) and KS nursing licenses.
Responsibilities
• Position is in the Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool at a hospital
• Float to similar pediatric units within the same facility and may occasionally float to a sister hospital 12 miles away in Overland Park, KS
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• Care for pediatric acute care patient population
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting
• 13-week contract assignment
• Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Must pass a medication/dosage test within the first week of assignment with a score of 100% (up to 3 attempts permitted)
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidate must be flexible with work location across two nearby hospital campuses
• Facility is smoke free
Requirements
• Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Active KS RN license required or proof of application submitted if not yet obtained
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; RQI certifications not accepted
• 1-2 years of recent pediatric or peds med-surg RN experience required
• Clean Nursys record required
• Must have prior travel nursing experience
