Position Overview As a staff pharmacist, you will be the key to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services that are safe, effective, and cost-conscious. Your day-to-day will involve coordinating technical pharmacy operations while ensuring seamless workflow and clinical excellence. Your role includes evaluating drug orders, managing patient profiles, participating in emergency codes, providing drug information, and collaborating closely with healthcare providers. Youll work in full compliance with DNV standards and all relevant laws governing pharmacy practice. Shifts vary between 6:00 AM2:30 PM, 7:00 AM3:30 PM, and 1:30 PM10:00 PM. This role requires weekend and holiday coverage, including possible on-call duties. Job Details • Location:Washington State (Multiple Sites) • Start Date:ASAP • Duration:13 weeks + (contract) • Schedule:40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts, variable (including weekends and holidays) Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient settings. • Evaluate and verify drug orders with a focus on patient safety and optimal therapy. • Dispense medications and monitor patient profiles actively. • Participate in Code Blue teams and offer drug information consultation. • Perform and document clinical interventions and educate healthcare providers and patients. • Manage sterile products, aseptic techniques, IV admixtures, chemotherapy compounding, and infection control standards. • Ensure compliance with controlled substances management and quality assurance protocols. • Utilize collaborative drug therapy agreements and pharmacist prescribing protocols where applicable. • Contribute to performance improvement projects, drug usage evaluations, and adverse reaction monitoring. Required Qualifications • Active pharmacist license issued by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy. • At least two years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred or completion of an accredited hospital residency or Board Certification in a pharmacy specialty. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Strong clinical knowledge in dosing adjustments, drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, and patient-specific considerations. • Proficiency in computerized order entry and verification systems. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for sterile product preparation. • Typing skills at a minimum of 20 words per minute.
