Traveling Commercial Construction Electrician

Position Overview: As aTraveling Commercial Electrician, you will work on various commercial construction sites performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. This position requires frequent travel with overnight or extended stays. Key Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and code specifications • Perform conduit bending, panel terminations, switchgear, lighting, and device installations • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on-site • Test systems to ensure safe and proper function • Work in compliance with NEC, local codes, and company safety protocols • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and hand/power tools • Collaborate with project teams and maintain clean, accurate job documentation • Travel for extended assignments (typically 2–3 weeks) • Maintain a company vehicle and report any service issues Qualifications: • ValidJourneyman’s License(state-issued) • 3+ yearsof commercial electrical experience • Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on training • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and code compliance • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred • Valid driver’s license required • Must supply and maintain personal hand tools • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, or computers to submit job documentation Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders or scaffolding • Prolonged standing, kneeling, and bending • Must be able to identify color-coded wiring • Willingness to travel long distances by plane and vehicle as needed • Able to work flexible hours, weekends, or 12-hour shifts as project demands What We Offer: • Competitive hourly pay • Per diem and travel allowance • Reliable, long-term work on commercial projects • Supportive and safety-focused work culture • Opportunities to grow with a reputable, expanding contractor Join a Team That Builds What Matters.
