Job Description

As a UI/UX Designer at blockit, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and interface of our healthcare software products. Being a member of the product management team, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to design intuitive, efficient, and impactful digital solutions for our healthcare clients.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Lead the design process for blockit's platform, from concept to launch, ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience.

• Conduct in-depth user research and usability testing within healthcare contexts to understand the needs, challenges, and workflows of healthcare professionals and patients.

• Translate complex healthcare processes into clear, user-friendly design concepts, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

• Work closely with the VP of Engineering, product managers, and engineers to implement UI/UX designs that align with technical constraints and project timelines.

• Evaluate and iterate on the product design based on user feedback, usability testing, and analytics to continuously improve the user experience.

• Uphold and evolve blockit’s design standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms and interfaces.

• Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in UI/UX design, particularly those relevant to healthcare technology.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

• A compelling portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills, particularly in healthcare or related fields, demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

• Exceptional visual design skills with a focus on simplifying complex information into intuitive interfaces.

• Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to design challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on UI/UX design preferred

• 3-5 years experience in a UI/UX design position working in a SaaS, healthcare technology/IT, or healthcare B2B environment highly preferred 

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, InVision)

• Experience working in a startup environment is desirable
