We have an exciting opportunity for a UI/UX Web Application Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an original thinker who conceives creative concepts and translates them into a visual format. Candidate should be skilled in matching strategic direction with appropriate design results for the browser-based applications. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed; meet the education and work experience required; and must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties, in addition to the below, may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs. Â
Essential Job Functions:Â
- Designing solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives.
- Creating highly usable interface solutions focused on user experience.
- Rationalizing solutions with the project team and clients
- Balancing creative requirements with client business requirements
- Designing: mood boards; storyboards; interactive page layouts; site grids and interface demos; creation of graphics, choosing iconography, photo retouching and enhancements; animated GIFs
- Developing rapid prototyping for clients’ feedback
- Performing user centered design
- Applying information architecture to UX design
- Engaging with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
- Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables
- Building and maintaining a team rapport with creative team personnel, UI Developers, & project managers
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ of UX/UI Design experience
- 3-5 years of experience with PENCIL, Balsamiq, draw.io, Photoshop, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree preferred.
- 5 years of development experience with .NET and C#
- ​Active Secret Clearance. Top secret Preferred.
- Experience with responsive web design for mobile devices
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Â Â
- Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
- A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Adobe Creative Studio, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Works with business analysts and development team to create web designs that are responsive in nature to allow for use of the sites on various devices (e.g. – smart phones, tablets, etc.)

- Experience with responsive web design for mobile devices.Â

- Remote work available. Â
- If local, travel to the client (Washington DC) or Harmonia office (Mclean) when required. Â
