Unarmed Security Guard

AK Security is a regional FL, GA, & TX security service agency headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. We are currently seeking highly motivated security officers to work for multiple locations including commercial properties, residential communities, hotels, dealerships, etc. Officers must be able to walk throughout their shifts to conduct checkpoint scans and to utilize their phones for reporting purposes. Duties • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. • Respond to alarms and calls for assistance, providing immediate support as needed. • Conduct regular inspections of premises, including surveillance of CCTV systems, to ensure safety compliance. • Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and protect property from theft or damage. • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns. • Provide first aid and CPR assistance in emergency situations when required. • Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Skills • Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including loss prevention techniques. • Experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable. • Proficiency in surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring. • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred. • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Strong observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential security threats. • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
