Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, preventing losses, and responding to emergencies. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the property and its occupants. Duties • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities. • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies. • Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order. • Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to monitor activities. • Report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately. • Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a first aid kit. • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. • Document incidents and prepare reports for management review. • Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate situations. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is preferred. • First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. • Previous experience in loss prevention or security roles is an advantage. • Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly. • Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring equipment. • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Military experience is a plus but not required. • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
