Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all protocols are followed and that any potential threats are addressed promptly. Duties • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. • Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance of the premises. • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid or CPR as necessary. • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety compliance. • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property. • Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any breaches of security protocols. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns. • Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations. Skills • Valid security certificate or relevant training in security operations. • Proficiency in operating CCTV systems for effective surveillance. • Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques for emergency response. • Experience in loss prevention strategies within retail or corporate environments. • Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous. • Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively. • Ability to remain alert, stand for extended periods, and observant while performing surveillance duties. • Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
