Unarmed Security Guard/ Level II

SECURITY OFFICER / SECURITY GUARD DUTIES • Provide a visual security presence • Conduct regular rounds of industrial and commercial premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates • Promotes positive public relations by offering courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests and responding to their requests. • Perform checks on windows, doors, gates, stairwells, fire exits, and other areas as assigned by client or that a trespasser may use to gain illegal access, and insure that they are properly secure • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences including standing water or fire hazards and failure indicators on mechanical or electrical equipment • Respond to alarms and report disturbances • Responds without hesitation and assists with all emergencies as required, within the scope of the officer's training and expertise • Adheres to Security Policies and Procedures manual. • Contact Manager as appropriate per company protocols • Inform persons of rule infractions or violations such as loitering, smoking, carrying forbidden articles • Assist in evacuation buildings in case of emergency • Control crowds as required by job site • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or required by contract with customer based on their individual security needs Availability expectations are that the top candidates be available on nights, weekends, and holidays for scheduled shifts.
