Unarmed Security Officer - Senior Residential Living Unarmed Security Officer needed in a Chicago Senior Residential Setting • FT/2nd Shift - $17/hr - Weekly Pay Key Responsibilities for Residential Security Staff • Monitoring and Surveillance:Responsible for monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and ensuring that only authorized individuals gain access to the property. They may patrol the premises to deter criminal activity and maintain a visible security presence. • Access Control:Control access to the residential area by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining logs of individuals entering or leaving the premises to help prevent unauthorized access and ensures the safety of residents. • Emergency Response:In the event of emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, residential security personnel are trained to respond quickly and appropriately to assist residents in evacuating safely and coordinate with emergency services. • Risk Assessment:Conducting regular risk assessments and inspections of the property to identify potential security gaps and safety hazards to proactively implement necessary security measures. • Communication:Effectively communicate with residents and management and be approachable and able to provide assistance or information, as needed. Requirements • Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred. • Must possess excellent observation skills and the ability to respond effectively to unusual or emergency situations. • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Must be 18+ years of age • Must be able to pass comprehensive drug testing, including marijuana, and a background check.
