Job Description
MEMIC’s Summer Internship Program identifies college students who want real-world experience that will allow them to gain valuable knowledge and skills within their field of study. This is a paid internship that can also be credited towards the student’s degree. The program will last 11 weeks, beginning on June 3rd and ending on August 16th. This opportunity will be full-time (37.5 hours per week).
The intern will assist the Underwriting Compliance team with reviewing and organizing the approved state filings into the different Underwriting applications.Â
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the review and organization of updated filings in the current UW Compliance tools; Imageright, Vinyl, Knowledge Base.
- Research competitor’s Loss Cost Multiplier’s in the state of Maine and provide their findings to the MEMIC Maine Underwriting team.Â
- Research competitor filings in other states per the requests of Underwriting.Â
- Assist with the Bureau criticisms, NCCI policy rejects and errors .Â
 Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be pursuing an Associate’s Degree or above.Â
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.Â
- Must have excellent information gathering skills.
