The Underwriting Partnerships Team is a dedicated team devoted to procuring, maintaining, building and servicing our critical Third Party Capital Quota Share Partners. These Partners provide Hiscox Re the strategic resource to enable us to build our business successfully for the future and produce the market beating results we have come to expect of ourselves.

The role

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic colleague to join our mission-critical and strategically important Underwriting Partnerships Team. Reporting directly to the Underwriting Partnerships Manager the role will encompass coordination of all communication and information provision to our third party capital providers, brokers and clients. This role will require detailed use of Hiscox internal data platforms to ensure market leading, high-quality and accurate content is provided in pursuit of continuing our outstanding service and innovative solutions to meet our clients’ needs. This position will report to the Underwriting Partnerships Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain regular marketing documentation including presentations to prospective partners and brokers and quarterly updates to incumbent parties.
• Marketing Content Generation: Prepare and maintain marketing documentation, including presentations and materials for prospective and existing partners. Includes maintenance of quota share submission.
• Meeting Coordination: Organize and prepare meetings, distribute detailed notes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
• Create the annual Quota Share submission.
• Strategy Development: Assist with the development of partnership strategies and preparation of presentation materials.
• Ad Hoc Requests: Handle various ad hoc requests throughout the year related to marketing, premium updates, claims updates, and more.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Outward Reinsurance) to support marketing and client engagement activities.

The requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a mathematical or scientific discipline is a preference but not a strict requirement if the potential candidate has a strong numerical or data analytical background.
• At least one year of previous experience in re/insurance, asset management, investment banking or management consulting is preferred. Professional qualifications are desirable.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations and marketing materials.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete them as assigned.
• Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of integrity, intellectual curiosity and yet remain team-oriented.
• Ability to work across multiple cross functional teams to complete tasks as required.
• A logical and structured approach to problem solving, with an eye for detail whilst ensuring the bigger picture remains in sight.
• Must be flexible and capable of adapting to change in a fast-paced industry.
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel, required.
