In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC systems and components in commercial facilities. • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls and equipment using proper testing equipment while working from technical drawings and manuals
• Install new or refurbished equipment using appropriate construction tools and techniques when assigned
• Charge and start up large chiller systems with complete attention to detail and safety protocols
• Diagnose and address HVAC electrical components on chillers, rooftop units, fan units, and related systems
• Repair and rebuild pumps and compressors to ensure optimal performance
• Apply your knowledge of building systems to maintain comfortable environments for building occupants
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and system reliability
• Work within union guidelines while delivering exceptional service qualityRequired Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Stationary Engineer License (REQUIRED)
• 4+ years of HVAC experience OR completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program
• EPA Universal certification
• Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatic controls, instruments, automatic dampers, air flows, and air balancing in large institutions
• Strong understanding of water and steam systems
• Proficiency with building automation systems (BAS) and ability to diagnose BAS issues
• Commitment to safety protocols and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:
• Kitchen equipment experience
• Experience in commercial or institutional settings
• Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication abilities for team coordination
• Adaptability to changing priorities and service needs

This position offers a competitive union wage of $47-48/hour with comprehensive union benefits through Local 399. Your schedule will be 1st Shift, either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.
