Van Conversion Carpenter/Builder

Papago Vans is seeking a skilled and experienced Van Conversion Builder to join our team in Mesa, AZ. In this role, you will work on custom van conversions, using your carpentry expertise, basic plumbing, and electrical skills to help create high-quality, functional, and visually stunning camper vans. Key Responsibilities: • Perform carpentry tasks including the construction of custom cabinetry, furniture, and interior woodwork for camper vans. • Install and finish trim carpentry, ensuring high-quality detailing and precision. • Assist with plumbing systems installation, including water tanks, sinks, and faucets. • Support electrical work, including running wiring, installing lights, outlets, and other electrical components. • Work alongside a team to meet project timelines and quality standards. • Ensure all work is completed to specification, with safety and efficiency in mind. • Troubleshoot and solve problems on-site as they arise. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in carpentry, including trim carpentry and custom builds. • Basic knowledge of plumbing, including installation of water systems and fixtures. • Basic understanding of electrical work (wiring, outlets, lights). • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans. • Strong attention to detail with a passion for craftsmanship. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Strong work ethic and team player attitude. • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. • Experience in custom van or RV conversions is a plus but not required. • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
