Van Owner Operator - Contractor

We are looking for a Contractor for the position of Van Owner Operator  to join our fast growing New York City team. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to reliability and timely deliveries, showcasing adaptability to changing circumstances and effective problem-solving skills. Clear communication with various teams is crucial for success in this role. The primary responsibilities include supporting our Operations Team in preparing our units for guests, ensuring they have all necessary items, and managing any emergency deliveries that may arise. 

This position will require some weekend work but will not exceed 40 hours/week.

What you’ll focus on:

• Work with our team of Operations/Client Experience and Warehouse Team to ensure our properties are fully-equipped and move-in ready for our guests.
• Communication with our teams for updates, instructions and any issues during the delivery process
• Maintain accurate records of your deliveries while updating our internal systems
• Load and unload freight and furniture safely and efficiently
• Transport goods or materials securely and with optimal efficiency from the company's storage locations to designated locations across the five boroughs

What we’re looking for:

• Must own a fully insured Van & have a driver's license with a good driving record
• Problem solver, with ability to work in a fast-paced and "get the job done" culture
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift, move and assemble heavy items (e.g. couches, bed frames, tables, etc.)
• Previous experience in delivery or logistics
• Capability to assemble essential furniture as required(for instance, beds, coffee tables, desks, bedside tables etc.)
• Confident user of technology (email, slack, G suite)
• A positive, driven, upbeat and friendly personality
