Vehicle Operator (CDL A)

HireArt is helping our client hire a Vehicle Operator (CDL A) to maintain vehicle readiness, perform hardware and software tests, and bring a customer service approach to public interactions. We're looking for candidates with 5+ years of verifiable Class A driving experience in a tractor-trailer combination. You have a clean driving record and are able to pass a background check and road test. As a Vehicle Operator (CDL A), you'll: • Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles, including semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger cars, while testing driver assistance and self driving features on closed courses and public roads. • Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections (DVIRs). • Provide essential written and oral feedback on system performance to the engineering team. • 5+ years of verifiable Class A driving experience in a tractor-trailer combination • Comfortable driving and backing 53’ dry vans • Ability to drive for extended periods • Ability to pass a background check and road test • Must be able to pass all DOT driver requirements, including drug test, MVR, and physical • Clean driving record (MVR) • No more than two (2) minor moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years • May not have any of the following: • No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial or personal motor vehicle in the last five (5) years • No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drug convictions within the last ten (10) years • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial or personal motor vehicle in the last three (3) years • No preventable DOT-recordable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last ten (10) years • Open to travel up to 50% of the time • Drive other fleet vehicles as needed • Be professional and a team player who is able to follow written and oral instructions • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures • Provide assistance with other tasks when needed • Have an interest in driver assistance and autonomous technology and are open to learning new skillsBenefits: • Pre-tax commuter benefits • Employer (HireArt) Subsidized healthcare benefits • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs • HireArt covers all costs for short and long term disability and life insurance • 401k packageCommitment:This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt.
