Vehicle Upfitter – Carpentry & Light Welding Location:Las Vegas, Nevada Pay:$19–$22 per hourPosition Summary Bush Specialty Vehicles is seeking a skilledVehicle Upfitter with strong framing/building carpentry experience and light welding capabilities. This position involves hands-on vehicle conversions, interior framing, and component installation in a warehouse and manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in construction or carpentry—especially in framing—and the ability to support light welding and fabrication when needed. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong mechanical aptitude are key. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Build and install custom vehicle interiors using wood and metal framing techniques. • Perform carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing plywood, wall panels, flooring, and shelving units. • Use a wide range of hand and power tools including saws, drills, nail guns, tape measures, and more. • Support light welding and metal fabrication tasks as needed for bracket installations, mounting, or structural support. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for both framing layouts and equipment installation. • Assemble and install vehicle components and accessories to meet high-quality and safety standards. • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to problem-solve and ensure efficient production flow. • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all established safety protocols. • Assist in all areas of the warehouse and production line when needed. • Perform other duties as assigned in support of production goals. Requirements • Proven experience inframing, construction, carpentry, or woodworking. • Basic welding or fabrication experience in a manufacturing or mechanical setting. • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings. • Proficiency with hand and power tools, both carpentry- and welding-related. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently or with a team to complete installations. • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training in carpentry or welding is a plus. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) • High school diploma or equivalent required; welding certification or technical training preferred. • Prior experience in welding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing preferred. • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints is required. • Strong welding and metal fabrication skills with attention to detail. • Ability to engineer and problem-solve during fabrication processes. • Effective communication and collaboration with team members from multiple disciplines. • Strong understanding of quality standards in fabricated metalwork. • Flexibility and willingness to assist in other operational areas.Physical Demands and Work Environment • Regularactivities include climbing stairs/steps, stretching, lifting up to 40 lbs., bending at the waist, pushing materials and equipment, walking throughout the warehouse and production areas. • Intermittentactivities include lifting overhead, climbing ladders, lifting 40 lbs. or more, squatting and working in awkward positions. • Warehouse and manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise, dust, metal shavings, welding equipment and varying temperatures. • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, welding shields, gloves and steel-toed boots, is required. • Standing and working for extended periods in physically demanding conditions.
