Venetian Plaster Artisan

Job Summary Looking for part-time to lead into full-time We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. Mainly applying Venetian Plaster to walls and ceilings, some skim coating experience preferred but will teach the right candidat. This role requires a strong understanding of various plastering techniques and the ability to work on both new construction and renovation projects. Duties • Prepare surfaces for Venetian plaster application by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary. • Mix Venetian plaster and other materials according to specifications for optimal consistency and durability. • Apply Venetian plaster to walls and ceilings using hand tools and power tools • Perform drywall installation/repair and finishing as part of renovation projects. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and client expectations. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. • Experience in frame carpentry and trim carpentry is highly desirable. • Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques is a plus. • Strong understanding of drywall installation methods. • Ability to renovate existing structures while maintaining high-quality standards. • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality workmanship. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
