Venetian Plaster Installer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in plastering and related construction tasks, demonstrating a strong ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying plaster, and ensuring high-quality finishes on both new installations and restoration projects. The Plasterer will collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for plaster application by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are structurally sound. • Mix plaster materials according to specifications for optimal consistency and performance. • Apply plaster using appropriate techniques to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings. • Restore damaged plaster surfaces by assessing the extent of damage and executing necessary repairs. • Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure proper installation of plaster in alignment with project plans. • Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. • Utilize power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing plaster materials. • Perform caulking duties as needed to seal joints and gaps for a polished appearance. • Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site, adhering to safety protocols. Skills • Proficient in using power tools relevant to plastering and general construction tasks. • Strong understanding of frame carpentry principles as they relate to plaster installation. • Ability to read and interpret schematics for accurate project execution. • Experience in both new installations and restoration of existing structures. • Knowledge of caulking techniques for effective sealing of joints. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
