Venture Investment Analyst

What is the Role:

As a Venture Investment Analyst at DCG, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and supporting investments in transformative startups in the blockchain industry. You will be an integral part of the deal process, from due diligence deals to portfolio support and industry research.

Key deliverables for this role include supporting due diligence for investments, conducting market research and analyzing emerging trends, and proactive engagement with founders and developers shaping the crypto ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, supporting our investment leads in evaluating and driving our early-stage investments.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Market Research & Analysis: Identify and analyze early-stage companies, cryptoassets, and emerging trends in the blockchain industry.
• Due Diligence Support: In partnership with investment leads, screen deals and conduct due diligence for potential investments.
• Community Engagement: Actively participate in relevant communities across platforms like Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and engage with founders and developers.
• Market Insights & Reporting: Write market research reports and support with constructing investment memos to inform internal discussions and support our investment process.

What You’ll Bring:

• Crypto Knowledge: Conversant in web3, with prior work experience and a strong personal interest in the space. Preference for candidates with experience areas the following areas: RWAs, stablecoins, or crypto financial services, but this is not a requirement.
• Analytical Skills: A background in finance, economics, computer science, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to critically evaluate investment opportunities. Prior investment experience is preferred but not required.

• Team Player: A collaborative individual who works effectively in a team, contributing to a positive and productive team dynamic.
