Vice President, Global SVOD Strategy

About the role

We seek a Vice President of Global SVOD Strategy to lead transformative projects enhancing Crunchyroll's strategic positioning and value capture for SVOD, and to support our mission to be the world's destination of choice for anime. Reporting to our Head and SVP of Strategy & Planning in our COO organization, you will spearhead the global SVOD growth plan, ensuring initiatives are prioritized to meet our objectives and key results.

• You will develop and execute executable strategies for SVOD, tailored to market opportunities and operational challenges

• You will create regional growth plans for SVOD, considering local nuances and opportunities

• You will lead the SVOD learning agenda, conducting market and competitive analyses to identify strategic opportunities

• You will collaborate with domain leaders to ensure agreement and consistency in strategic plans throughout the subscriber lifecycle and across commercial levers

• You will manage global and regional strategic growth plans, coordinating cross-functional initiatives to achieve business objectives

• You will oversee assessments and implementations of commercial levers, such as pricing and promotions

• You will create reports and dashboards to track SVOD initiatives, fostering understanding and accountability

• You will lead projects with diverse contributors, ensuring understanding on goals and deliverables

• You will support Finance in annual planning cycles by providing important inputs and assumptions for the SVOD business model

• You will draft executive communications and content for internal and external meetings and engagements

About You

• You have 15+ years of relevant experience in business leadership, strategic management, or related positions within global media and entertainment organizations

• Your background includes involvement in the media and entertainment industry, particularly in Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) services

• You have experience in the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sector

• You have expertise in growth strategies, business strategy formulation, data-driven decision-making, and Go-To-Market (GTM) planning

• Your track record demonstrates your ability to achieve measurable business results

• You have a deep understanding of media subscription models and DTC principles

• Your excellent executive-level communication and relationship-building skills enable effective collaboration with senior leadership teams

• You excel in multiple aspects of business operations, including process optimization and program management

• MBA and/or management consulting experience are highly desirable for this role
